Having grown grapes at our home vineyward since 2017 and made out first vintage of wine in 2019, Anna opened Arrowsmith’s Wine Bar in the heart of downtown Solvang in November 2020.
Anna calls her bar “my front room on the high street – the whole point of this bar is to bring people together to enjoy each other’s company, to meet each other and to build new friendships”. We wanted to create the emotional feel and connection of a British pub without it actually becoming a formulaic theme bar.

Truly Unique
It was the first – and only – fully vegetarian bar in this region, a rarity in a place where yet another new steakhouse seems to open up every six months… We serve a selection of small and sharing plates and have several vegan food and wine offerings. As winemakers ourselves we decided from the outset that no animal products would be used in the production of our own wines, and are committed to ensuring that our food menu is and will always be 100% vegetarian.
The bar is also a space where we hold events, fundraisers along with regular live music performances and our seasonal Cultural Sunday in program. We publicize all the events through our social media and email newsletters, so make sure to find us on Facebook and Instagram, and to sign up for email updates.
